Former Resident Recalls Pioneer Days in MacGregor

A daughter of early MacGregor settlers recalls life after moving to town in 1890. The family built a home above a hardware and tin shop, endured a devastating fire, and later expanded with a main street store. Father became a noted photographer after years of training in the United States, with clients from across the district. The narrative honors neighbors, a local constable, and the Indian family who supported the community, ending with a hint of a return visit.
