In MacGregor St Pauls Church Sunday October 17 has Sunday School at 11 am and Evening Prayer at 7 pm. United Churches schedule lists MacGregor 11 am Sunday School and 7 pm service with special choir music. Bagot service at 1:30 pm and Beaver at 3 pm.
Rev. Lt. Apaus and VM Reeves lead children services on October 17. An 11 am service at Great Carlton School with a 3 pm children’s service is noted. A 7:30 pm service is planned in Austin, with Teday and Rector names appearing in the notices.
Mrs T Bush sends thanks through Christ Church W A for fruit gift from United Church Ladies Aid and grateful for good wishes during illness. She also thanks Mrs Jos Thompson of MacGregor Mrs Salmon and all friends for kindnesses received.
In Beaver, Mrs Cecil Cooper and Bernice spent a week in Winnipeg. Douglas Forrest, son of Mr and Mrs O Forrest, had a serious operation but is now out of danger. Nelsons visited Winnipeg and returned with son Floyd Nelson, who will visit for a week. A school event brought residents together to honor former citizens Mr and Mrs John Green Mr and Mrs Cecil Graham and Don Mrs G Pears and Mr and Mrs E Pears. Each family received a Tri lite lamp and Don a fountain pen. Rev CAJ King chaired. Mrs E Harkness read the address. music cards and dancing completed the evening.
