Agreement Reached On Tank and Water Line Plan
MacGregor village council and Rural Municipality of North Norfolk representatives plus Canadian Pacific Railway and Manitoba officials held a special meeting last week. They agreed to free 50,000 gallons of water annually to CPR with excess at current rates and set line rental at a minimal amount. Water would be metered at Austin and MacGregor with rates determined by the provincial Water Supply Board. A cost figure to residents is expected after government and CPR finalize tentative agreements, likely by March 1962, with further bylaw to regulate keeping livestock within the village.
