North Norfolk forms new committees and appoints officers
The Rural Municipality of North Norfolk held its inaugural meeting for 1971 72 on November 10 with Reeve James Duncan presiding. The by law appointing officers and committees for 1972 was read and adopted listing Deputy Reeve H J Manns and others as assessors and ward pound keepers, plus Transportation Health and Welfare Finance Water Utility Police Drainage and Recreation committees with chair roles assigned. The Reeve and Secretary Treasurer were authorized to conduct banking for 1972 and deputies named to sign in their absence.

Manitoba PEP 72 details sent to municipalities
Premier Ed Schreyer announced that Pep 72 details go to all municipalities outlining provincial and federal winter works grants. The program funds full wages for unemployed workers on projects meeting or exceeding 30 man months, with special rules for Winnipeg area and Unicity transition. Applications go to the Provincial Job Office at 310 Donald Street. eligible groups may qualify for grants up to 15 000 and must begin by January 31 with completion by May 31, 1972.
