A radio presentation titled His Finest Hour will be broadcast across National and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation networks after nearly five years of preparation. The program features archival material and new narration exploring pivotal historical moments.
A historic Sunday broadcast honors Sir Winston Churchill turning 80 featuring his Blood Sweat and Tears speech and other famed remarks. Tributes are heard from world leaders including Eisenhower St Laurent Mendes France and Adenauer in the EST program airing from 7 to 8 pm.
I extend sincere thanks to friends who visited me in hospital and those who sent get well cards. Thanks to the WI and the W.A, Rev. and Mrs Welsh for gifts of fruit, neighbors for help, and special thanks to the doctor and nurses for their kindness.
Saturday in Winnipeg marked social visits as Miss L English joined events and Mr Garfield Lindsay started duties at the Bank of Montreal. The week includes dance reminders, births, travel between towns, and regional gatherings with Masonic attendance noted in Neepawa.
Inspector McKay spoke at a meeting of about 25 teachers from Sidney Austin MacGregor and rural areas. He urged professional conduct and highlighted issues around salaries and collective bargaining. He listed four classes of teachers who should not teach and contrasted true teachers with those acting as a mere job, followed by group discussions and a luncheon.

The MacGregor Hospital Ladies' Aid will meet in the Memorial Hall, Monday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. December the Chicken Bingo at the Memorial Hall at 8 p.m. Don't miss the Westbourne Concert at Katrime Hall on Dec. 3 under the Katrimne Curl sing Club. MacGregor Hospital Aid will hold a Christmas Bake Sale on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Lyes show room. A draw will be made for a 124b. fruit cake. The Hospital Aid will sponsor a Carol Service at the Hospital on Web. Dec. 22, at 7:30. We would like the tree well laden with gifts the United Church Christmas concert will be held on Monday, December 20th.
