The Beav er Curling Club elected W Pears as president with R Smith secretary treasurer and Carl Bergquist as drawmaster for the winter season ten mixed rinks will participate. Katrime W A held its annual meeting on Nov 1 at Mrs W Stone's home with reports showing a successful year and thanks to officers. A quilt and clothing were sent for missionary work and rectory expenses were fully paid.

Horace C. Dexter 41 died in Brandon while employed by Campbell Construction Co. The England born WWI veteran lived in Brandon eight years with wife Evelyn Zachery formerly of Great Carlton district. Survived by wife, son Eric, daughter Mrs. J F Muirhva of Winnipeg, four grandchildren, two brothers Fred of Wembley and relatives. Services at St Marys Anglican Brandon.
