Dry weather sparks four fires in North Norfolk

Four fires broke out Monday in North Norfolk as abnormally dry conditions and strong winds spread flames. The most serious blaze burned 500 bales of straw and a workshop on Albert Drumon’s property south of Rossendale, with crews arriving around 5 pm. Other incidents included rubble fires near MacGregor and debris piles ignited by grass burning, all contained with no injuries reported. Authorities warn that the dry period makes the area highly flamable and urge strict supervision of any fire-related work.
