Letters From France Describe Mud and Camp Life
A son writes from France to Mr and Mrs C W Lye detailing a muddy frontline camp. He recounts equipment loads, worn leather coats, a seven mile march, and wait times for meals while a YMCA hut fills with men eager to send lines home. He mentions seeing friends as prisoners and Harvey Chant arriving at camp.

Foresters' At Home Event In Masonic Hall Proves Enjoyable
Court McGregor No 228 Canadian Order of Foresters held its annual At Home in the Masonic hall on Friday night. Despite poor roads, many Foresters and friends from town and country attended. The program featured cards, games, a notable performance by invited ladies and gentlemen, with Wm. Cairns presiding and E. Turner delivering remarks. A luncheon was served by the ladies, followed by dancing that lasted past midnight.
