Final Sites Selected For The Red River Exhibition
The survey by local architects lists eight candidate sites for the Red River Exhibition including St Vital Park and Assiniboine Park. It notes St Vital Park offers 110 acres with off site parking along a circumferential route and overhead lines, but stresses limits for long term growth and access concerns. Assiniboine Park is second choice with expansive layouts envisioned, while Assiniboia Downs would be rent free but only 30 acres usable for buildings, making expansion unlikely.
