One Viewpoint on Sunday Worship vs Community Events
J M Phillips of Church of Christ argues Sunday worship should take precedence over social events. He cites Hebrews 10 25 and John 14 15 urging believers to assemble for worship and warns against pushing God aside for Saturday or Sunday activities. He presses readers to choose faithfulness over competing weekly entertainments.
