Carnival at rink draws large crowd and queen crowned

A Friday night carnival at the local rink drew a large audience and featured Pee Wee hockey won 2 0 by the Wees. Miss Mary Williamson was crowned Carnival Queen with Mrs HA Lye as Lady in Waiting. Prizes awarded for costumes. a tug of war and curling ticket drawings followed orderly festivities.

Death of Mr. James Pogue Pioneer Farmer

The death occurred suddenly last evening of James Pogue a respected pioneer farmer in the MacGregor district at age 74 years 7 months. The funeral is set for Saturday at 2 pm from the family home to MacGregor cemetery with LOL members attending and conducting the service at the graveside. The Herald extends sincere sympathy to Mrs. Pogue and the family.
