Record Grain Exports Hit All-Time February High
The Canadian Wheat Board reports February grain exports topped 35 million bushels, the best for the month and surpassing prior records. Commissioner Vogel notes the gain shows Canada's transportation system can move large grain quantities when conditions are favorable, continuing a record run since last September amid unusually light rail disruptions this winter.

Humidity tips for winter homes from Miss Marilyn McGregor
Extension expert advises adding humidity to reduce fuel use but warns against over humidification. Condensation can dampen insulation, damage walls, warp wood, and foster mold. Use a humidity gauge to target 20 to 35 percent based on outdoor temperatures. For furnace mounted humidifiers or portable units, size by space and keep reservoirs clean. Regular cleaning and maintenance helps prevent odors and keeps units looking new.
