Community notices invite residents to meet friends at Austin for the Austin Sports and School Fair on Monday July 2 with comments on other local events. Messrs. Clifford and Booth announce the elevator will close for the season in early July.
At a meeting of the Methodist and Presbyterian congregations in the Austin Presbyterian Church, a local union was unanimously formed. Rev. J Irvine Walker explained union bases and funding. only one vote opposed. The group plans to invite Rev. Wm. Cross of Owen Sound to preside and seeks Portage Presbytery approval to install him in August.
Brandon's big fair runs July 16 to 21 with growing popularity and a wide display of live stock agricultural products and industrial exhibits.
