Horse entries were exceptionally large with many brood mares and foals. livestock were down due to weather. Baseball and softball prize money were cut, yet competition remained high, with Rossendale defeating Edwin in baseball and Austin prevailing in men’s softball. The ladies’ softball featured five teams, with finals delayed by darkness. A crowds' evening dance followed with Portage City Band and Don Turner and his Ambassadors.
