Mrs J A McGregor visits Crandall friends for a couple of weeks. Mrs D B Turner of St Vital spent time in town. Mr J B Merrick's operation leaves him progressing nicely. Mrs Ivan West and daughters from Raeburn visited relatives. Miss Helen Collins returns home from Portage la Prairie hospital after operation. Dr Weagant from Winnipeg and Mrs McCall of Sherbrooke visited the Southworths at Flying S Ranch. Miss Jean Gates RN, daughter of Mr and Mrs Gates, accepted nursing position at Kabler hospital in Rochester MN. Miss Winnie Henry recovering well after appendicitis operation at Portage la Prairie hospital. Norman Naylor injured hand at Lye's lumber yard repairing a truck engine. Police warn motorists about driving with one light and bicycles without lights. Mrs Berry injured in fall, left collar-bone fractured, recovering at daughter Mrs J P MacKinnon’s home. Misses Elsie Roberts, Lorna Hay, Ethel Cook, Florence MacWilliam, Katherine MacKinnon and Pauline Trethewey host a miscellaneous shower for Mrs W J Moore. Gifts presented in a mail bag, contests and games, dainty lunch, thirty guests.

Local Grade XI Class Shows Bright Exam Results
The MacGregor Collegiate Institute Grade XII examinations were released by the Department of Education. All five students Norman Bergquist Katherine MacKinnon Pauline Trethewey Elsie Roberts and Gertie Pilkington passed clearly. Congratulations go to the pupils and to teachers Mr. W. S. McGill Miss Ivy Parr and Mr. A. J. Struthers for the fine showing.

Satisfactory reports highlighted the Mac Gregor School District meeting in the primary room. R D Muir was elected chairman with G E Lewin secretary, trustees reengaged, Grade XII to be taught again, receipts 7446 dollars and 231.10 balance, J A Gray and J P MacKinnon reelected as trustees, thanks given to the board and caretaker Alex MacDonald who will serve next term.
