School Field Day Draws Record Crowd and Wide Participation
The June 30 field day drew a large crowd from fifteen schools including Sidney. The Band of the 181st Battalion provided music, and events featured a banner drill won by Elsmith School. Baseball games among five North Norfolk schools were close with Sidney winning 7 4, MacGregor 4 3, and Sidney losing the final to MacGregor 4 3. Community booths, a public dance, and festive decorations marked the successful event under organizer Lewin.
