Jet airliner to fly Vancouver Tokyo in 1952
Canadian Pacific Airlines plans a surprised fleet upgrade with de Havilland Comet jets delivering 48 passengers on a Vancouver to Tokyo route. The aircraft will cruise at 40 000 feet, cover 4700 miles in about 10 hours with two refuels, and inaugurate service from Vancouver to Tokyo via a future timetable.
