About 200 Manitoba agronomists added Napayo bread wheat Glenlea utility wheat and Puma rye to the 1973 Manitoba field crop recommendations. Napayo joins Neepawa and Manitou as bread wheats. Glenlea is the only utility wheat. Puma is a higher yielding fall rye. Several varieties were deleted including Paragon feed barley Sioux Russell. Rosner remains the triticale pick.
