Canada Second Victory Loan drives urged by wartime appeal
Winnipeg and Manitoba residents faced a grim IF Day scene showing a German occupation in spirit as radio stations helped simulate a conquered country to urge loyalty. By last night Canada had raised about 352 million of the 600 million goal with Manitoba at 32 million of 45 million and North Norfolk at 100 thousand of 50 thousand. Citizens are asked to buy shares through bankers or Victory Loan salesmen to protect their families and victory.
