Norfolk Council Meeting Set For MacGregor March 3
The North Norfolk Council will hold its next meeting in MacGregor on Tuesday March 3 at 8 p.m. The Norfolk and District Canadian Legion also plans a MacGregor gathering the same day at 8 30 p.m. at the office of non and MacKinnon. Portage Elks Winter Carnival Set for March 7
Portage Elks host their Annual Winter Carnival on Saturday March 7 at 9 15 at Arena Rink Portage. The event features Theslor and Taylor of Hollywood and New York with 60 Winnipeg Winter Club members offering 20 acts including singles pairs tours waltzs comedy ballet and performances by the Royal Air Force Band. Reserved seats are on sale at Costigan’s Store and by phone at 195 Portage.

Local Bonspiel To Start March 2nd
At a Curling Club meeting last Thursday plans were made for the annual Bonspiel to begin Monday March 2. Four competitions are planned and entrants must form a rink and enter by February 28 with H A Lye or a Draw Committee member. Fees remain 50 cents for members within two miles and one dollar for non members. prizes are on display at the Bluebird Cafe.
