Robert Blanchard of the Katrime district died in Winnipeg on February 17 1990 at age 63 after a prolonged hospital stay following major surgery. Born in Yorkshire England he lived in Oak River and Alexander Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg in 1919 to work for Canada Bread. He valued neighbors and the Good Neighbor's Club and farmed poultry at Blanchard Poultry Farm. Survived by daughter Dorothy Kidd son William four grandchildren seven sisters two England wife predeceased him.
