Meetings Discuss Drainage Relief for Westbourne
Last Friday at Austin and Monday at MacGregor ratepayers gathered to consider removing Westbourne Municipality from water flow to the bay. A September award by the Municipal Commissioner was protested, with a council resolution endorsing further action. Speakers included Mr John Muirhead and Reeve D Campbell along with M I A A Mat Gregor. The Portage la Prairie Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company reported its 42nd year with record insurance written and strong assets totaling over 1.1 million.
