MacGregor 1966 News Highlights
A year opens with a blizzard and cold spell grounding travel. Community life centers on hockey and curling with numerous bonspiels and rinks led by Wayne Early and Joan McDonald. Hospital expansion vote passes, weddings, deaths, and local events mark January through March in MacGregor. A March ice carnival, Lions activities, and a bank leadership change precede April progress on a new elementary school. A train wreck disrupted service but caused no injuries.
