Death of Stoker Geo. E. Goodwin

Stoker George Everett Goodwin, 25, is believed killed in the Knights of Columbus Hostel fire in St John’s Newfoundland last weekend. He had moved to MacGregor in 1940, ran an Imperial Oil station, married Mildred Stinson, and is survived by his wife, two daughters, his mother in Vancouver, and a grandmother in St. James. His remains were buried in Newfoundland with naval honors.

Mrs Cook and Mrs Gilroy Called to Bedside Father

Mrs B W Cook and Mrs J B Gilroy were summoned to the bed side of their father Mr Robi Stinson who died last night. Stinson had been a patient at Portage General Hospital since September 26.
