The final North Norfolk Council meeting for 1942 will convene in MacGregor on Friday December 18. Local items note new Telephone Directories available at the Telephone Office and several residents updating jobs, residences, and wartime activities.
Community news items from Katrime Beaver Bagot Light Hill Southend and Macauley are held for next issue due to extra advertisements. The Women's Institute monthly meeting is at 3 p.m. Thursday December 17 at Mrs A Duncan home. The National Film Board shows Forward Commandos at United Church this Thursday at 3 and 9 p.m.
The MacGregor Skating Rink will open this Saturday providing a good skating and curling venue. Community support is urged this winter. Birthday wishes go to Ted Hay and Heather Fotheringham on December 9. Evelyn Barton begins as a telephone operator with Manitoba Telephones in Portage la Prairie. St Pauls Church annual sale of work tea and produce table set for December 12 at 3 p.m. A Christmas table will be available. A whist drive and dance by Katrime Community Hall on December 11 features Hoppy's orchestra. The Young Ladies Society of the United Church raised 18250 for Red Cross via tea and bazaar.

For sale a limited number of Christmas trees. Call the Stinson Hotel to reserve one.
Mrs. W. Bazuk’s cows tested at the Provincial Animal Laboratory in Winnipeg report all are in good condition and the milk is safe. Dr. Lawrence received the official report.
