Agricultural News Bulletin from Eastern Canada Seeding and Tax Notes

In Eastern Canada the piece discusses seeding lawns in mid September for rapid germination and weed reduction. It covers a tax update: from August 1 to December 31, 1968 no sales tax on granaries for farmers stored grain delivered before 1969, with farm use certificates and refund options. It notes cattle breeders can buy scales at reduced prices with government grants via this office. It warns that certain crops like flax and buckwheat frozen for feed can be dangerous to livestock, offering a toxicity test service for $1 and stressing nitrates in frozen plants as potentially fatal. Community well being emphasized.
