A July farewell social in Community Hall Austin honored Mr and Mrs E Helfgott and their child ren as they depart for Portage la Prarie. Miss Jean Beatty read a farewell address and gifts were given by Percy Dedwell. The Helfgotts, long time local shopkeepers, were widely respected and thanked friends before singing themed to the occasion.
