Village of MacGregor seeks to create Local Improvement District No. 1 to fund waterworks and a sanitary sewer with a 197,700 cost financed over 20 years. Revenues include a 1,000 annual village share and frontage rates, with assessments contingent on owner petitions within four weeks of publication. Court day set for September 1962 at 7:30 PM.

Funeral Held For Mrs Bergquist in MacGregor District
Funeral service for Mrs J R Bergquist was held on Tuesday July 24. Born Anna Linnea Ericson in 1886 she came to the United States in 1899 with sisters Agnes and Svea, lived in Duluth before moving to Canada and Winnipeg, married to John Robert Bergquist in February 1914 and moved to a MacGregor farm in August 1914. She was a dress maker in Winnipeg for years and was predeceased by her husband in 1938 and son Robert Edwin in World War I. Surviving are four sons Norman Eric of California Carl Harold John Albert of MacGregor Ralph Augusta of Winnipeg one sister A Lind of Winnipeg eight grandchildren Pallbearers were Jack Olson Neil Cook Nels Nohlgren Frank Sims Harold Lamb Frank Hay.
