MacGregor Village eyes $177000 water sewer plan

The MacGregor village council wants a waterworks system plus a sanitary sewer and disposal network costing about 177000 after a 20000 surplus. Financed over 20 years at 6.5 percent with frontage charges of 27 cents per water front foot and 23 cents per sewer front foot. A yearly 1000 levy for 20 years funds the village share, with Local Improvement District charges covering the rest. Some revenue surpluses may cut totals. The water use rate is pending and a possible municipal take over the line could lower costs. Vote date planned for fall after public meetings for ratepayer information.
