The Easter reports for the Collegiate are issued this week. Tivoli Theatre resumes Tuesday and Wednesday night shows next week with an advertisement in this issue. Tag Day is this Saturday April 18 to raise funds for the J.C. D.E. and a Hurricane plane.
Sunday services and Sunday School times listed for St Pauls Church MacGregor and United Churches. MacGregor Sunday School 11 am and Evening Prayer 7 pm. Beaver Bagot and other locations show 2 30 pm services.
The Herald joins friends in congratulating Robt Stinson on his 80th birthday April 21. He received a Life Membership from the local L O L and has been in the Orange Order for sixty eight years. Relatives hope he improves. church services in Bagot Beaver and MacGregor are invited this Sunday. The sermon, Front Line Service For All, marks Mr McLeod’s second last Sunday before reporting to duty in Toronto on May 1.
Keewatin residents visit Winnipeg. Mrs Shaw, Mrs Davis host family, and Sgt Bill Roberts’s mother visits. a Misericordia hospital stay announced. Rousseau Tea hosted by Mr and Mrs Patterson. Trousseau Tea set for April 20 to April 20 7 to 9 p.m. in Winnipeg area.
An April birth report from Portage Hospital notes a daughter, Margaret Joyce, born to Mr. and Mrs Cecil Zimmerman, and a Vancouver birth records Frances Margaret for Mr. and Mrs Frank Burneski. Tributes include visits by J Hutchinson and W Cairns with Mrs H I Collins, plus motor trip to Morris to see the Moores. Community donations for Bundles For Britain are requested at the Orange Hall after April 20. The Women's Institute holds its April meeting on Thursday the 22nd at 2 30 p.m. at Mrs Wm Corrigal's home. all members urged to attend and visitors welcome.
