Lynden Wins Debate On Federal Railways At Jamieson Hall
Miss Edna McKinnon and John Breckenridge defeated Laurel last Friday night in Lynden while arguing that the federal government should own and operate all interstate railroads. Lynden advances toward the county championship and will meet Fern dale on April 11. A large Laurel and Nos sac attendees supported Laurel. judges favored Lynden. Local note: L. C. Wright presided. Miss Hahnke and Messrs North Hudson of Bellingham served as judges. Music by the Mandolin and Guitar Club and a vocal solo enhanced the event.
