Funeral for Mrs. Martha Mulder Held at Local Church
A large circle of friends attended the funeral for Mrs. Martha Mulder who died Sunday at her Front Street home. Services were held at her residence at 1 30 p m and at the Christian Reformed Church at 2 p m conducted by Rev A J Brink. Mrs Mulder born Gelder land Holland August 28 1859 came to the United States in 1887 with husband Albert Mulder who died in Lynden in 1912. Survived by six children Mrs John Bierlink Frank and Bert Mulder Minnie Mulder Lynden Marinus Mulder Minnesota and Mrs Anne Note boom Rock Valley Iowa.

Funeral services planned this afternoon at the family home and Christian Reformed Church for Mrs Trijntje Helder born December 27 1854 in the Netherlands. She died after a brief illness and leaving nine surviving children including Jacob Dick Ry nad James John Gerard and Louis Helder plus daughters Helen and Reina. Two sisters Mrs L Ling and Mrs A Bos reside in Michigan.

Lynden to Host Double Header and Independence Day Game
Lynden and Valley will stage a Saturday double header at the Fair Grounds with one admission for both games. The first contest opens at 1:00 p m with a 15 minute break before the second. Valley adds new material after a busy practice. On Monday July 4 Lynden meets Custer at 10:00 a m in a Nooksack Valley League clash. Lynden lost to Custer 4 2 two weeks ago while Deming beat Custer 2 1 last Sunday.

Hope for Lower Rates At Large Dairymen Picnic
A huge crowd gathered in Lynden for the Whatcom County Dairymen’s Association annual picnic at the Fair Grounds. Inspectors may access all apiaries to enforce rules and require disinfection after inspecting infected sites. Beernink Dies After Operation In Bellingham
James A Beernink aged 56 died following an operation in Bellingham. Funeral services were held Sunday at Knapp's Parlors under the International Bible Students Association. He was born March 25 1865 in Waupun Wisconsin and survived by a widow three sons three sisters and three brothers. A marriage license was issued in Bellingham for Schuyler G Fale and Miss Etta E Winup of Lynden. The text also includes an apiary inspection act detailing responsibilities and penalties for importing bees.
