Pledge Demanded for Whatcom County Office Candidates
The Tribune notes a pledge draft by Whatcom County Pomona Grange at Laurel on April 2 1912 urging candidates for County Commissioner Treasurer and Assessor to commit to resisting “Trusts and Interests” and to taxing lands fairly. It urges voters to back only those who sign the pledge and promise a square deal for farmers wage workers and small home owners.
