Lyndon public library gains funds as two joyful nights feature the Knights of Pythias staged farce Captain Racket at Liberty Theater. Two Cars Seized at Lynden Customs Station

Inspector Paul O Dolstad seized a Cadillac and a Paige at Lynden customs for failure to report to the Lynden office. The vehicles remain held while the owners face action. Lynden office reports 2508 cars entered last year and expects more as the office reopens.

Lynden Baptist Church to Add 24 by 40 Foot Wing

Construction of a 24 by 40 foot addition to the Lynden Baptist Church will begin within 30 days. A 1500 dollar building program approved by the Convention Board will fund part of the project, adding spaces for Sunday School Young People rooms a modern baptistry choir rooms and a kitchen plus a basement furnace.

In Lynden district dairy markets gain momentum as butter prices advance two intervals to 53c per pound boosting dairymen income to at least 58c for butterfat in mid February. Whatcom County Fair Dates Set for 1921

The Whatcom County Fair will be held September 20 to 24, 1921, as announced by President Mike Vander Griend and confirmed by the local Fair Board. Secretary George M. Waples set the dates at a Northwest Fair Associations meeting in Centralia. Lynden will join the circuit for horse and stock exhibits, with plans to add concessions and features. J Hoekstra loses teeth after cow attack

J Hoekstra was kicked in the face by a cow on Monday resulting in several teeth knocked out. Also notes a bad cut from a Tuesday auto accident, a Seattle trip, a thumb injury at Imperial Fir Mill, and local social visits and travel.

Lynden High School boys thrashed Mt Baker 73 to 9 at the Lynden gym. Gorseman led Lynden with 12 field goals in the second half as the Lynden girls fought hard but fell 20 to 9 to Mt Baker.

Record Poultry Meeting Draws Hundreds in Lynden

Whatcom County Egg and Poultry Association held its largest meeting in state history at Lynden high school. Attendees discussed a new poultry handling and dressing station to employ ten men and help farmers save money by processing their own stock.
