In San Francisco a police officer stormed toward a nonrattling diamondback that lay in a bathroom doorway. The scene amused homeowner F B Todd who admitted the snake was mistaken for a bathrobe belt, while the officer stood firm. Todd apologized. Wise refused.

Wrecks Kill Two In Area

Two people died and 14 were injured in area traffic crashes on the South Plains. At Brownfield a 33 year old farm laborer Francisco Galvan died in a predawn collision near Plains. his wife Ester and four others were hospitalized. A highway worker near Brownfield was killed and two injured. In Plains two miles west on U S 82 Lario Serda Arellano 55 of Plains died in a car pickup crash. two others were injured including Francisco Alvarado 4 and Author Lundy Wagnon 26.

Pair Sought In Fatal Lynn County Woman’s Death

Lynn County sheriff deputies and Texas Rangers hunt two Negro men suspected in the death of 55 year old Mrs. Currie Walls. She was found by her daughter in her grassland home and died en route to a Lubbock hospital.
