Max Berlanga eight of Lorenzo underwent open heart surgery at Parkland Hospital in Dallas while his parents waited in the city. Nineteen Lorenzo men donated twelve pints of blood and about forty others offered. Doctors hoped the operation would close a hole in the heart and determine its success by Wednesday.
