Hit-Run Copter in Vietnam Kills Man and Boy

UPI reports an American helicopter at near ground level hit an oxcart in bad weather on the road from Quan Lot to An Loc about 60 miles northwest of Saigon. An old Vietnamese man and a boy were killed as the chopper flew off after the incident.

Wheel chair robber flees scene as paraplegic arrested in Buffalo

In Buffalo, a gun wielding paraplegic, 29, Jeffery Meruked, and accomplice Leroy Workman, 18, attempted a robbery at Black's Variety. Meruked toppled from his wheelchair during the escape and was arrested. both suspects held on robbery charges and Meruked charged with weapons violation. Meruked later treated for injuries from the spill.
