Wyoming posse hunts slayer of 7 year old boy

A 60 man posse scoured the Wind River Mountains and Dubois area for a gunman who killed Stephen Striplin, 7, as he played. Canadian River Funds Due Okay

Modesty Fatal In Bizarre Beach Accident

Carmel California UPD reports Gustav Smith Jr a 34 year old Mountain View man killed Monday in a bizarre beach accident when a deep hole he dug in the sand on Carmel Beach caved in. His wife Claire 31 and nearby bathers dug for fifteen minutes but could not save him. Smith was found suffocated. Witnesses said the hole was more than six feet deep as he changed into his bathing suit.

Moscow-Tass reported U S citizen Marwin William MacKinnon arrested July 27 for photographing Soviet military installations and intent to spy in the Ukraine He crossed the Iron Curtain as a tourist from West Berlin University said to be enlisted for U S intelligence work in West Berlin He confessed and a belt with films notes and a notebook was seized The State Department noted embassy notification and MacKinnon on record as a native of Chessell Michigan born 1939 No trial date was set but the case highlights U S espionage activity claims from Moscow.
