Officials of Litton Industries announced a new electronics plant with payroll over $1 million. Rep. Mahon touted the project as a boost for the South Plains with a groundbreaking set for midweek. The plant will be built near the Morton area and is expected to arrive with formal ceremonies. Thunderstorms rolled through the area causing hail and rain as the announcement was made.
