Fleeing Hit Run Ambulance Struck Woman in Denver

An ambulance carrying a dying 6 year old struck and critically injured a Denver woman who later admitted driving the rented car that hit the boy. The child died about a half hour after the crash at a busy Denver intersection. The woman, Airs Marie Chapel, was in serious condition at Denver General Hospital. The ambulance struck her as it sped toward the hospital. The rented car, identified as the hit vehicle, was found about a block from the scene.
