Truckload Of Workers In Mishap In Carlisle

A collision in Carlisle Saturday night injured 19 people, 18 Mexican braceros and one Reese Air Force Base airman. Eskeviel Tovar, 31, suffered head injuries and was in critical condition. Estle Bruce Stribling, 22, was taken to base hospital without severe injuries. The 1959 bobtail truck driver Apolinar Solis, 55, was unhurt as workers were thrown from the vehicle. The crash occurred at State Hwy 16 and a north south county road in the heart of the town.
