Lubbock Man Shot by Deputy After Hammer Fight
Freddie Lee Hamilton 39 of Amherst Avenue was shot in the chest by deputy Jerry Moffett while authorities attempted to serve a commitment warrant at his home. Deputy Bob Herron was treated for facial injuries and Hamilton was in critical condition at St. Mary’s Hospital. Hamilton was charged with assault with intent to commit a felony and held on $2,500 bond.
