Counties pledge support for regional juvenile facility in Lubbock
SPAG officials said five area counties Bailey Crosby Lamb Dickens and Terry pledged to participate in a regional juvenile detention center to be built by Lubbock County with up to 500000 in federal funds and a 500000 match. Lubbock seeks 40000 from the Governor's Criminal Justice Division for architect fees and will require about 125000 annual operating funds plus county contributions.
