Davis man charged in alleged restraint incident
A 1 year old Black reporter in Davis at 1708 Ave B was charged Tuesday after a Black woman aged 44 reported being forced to his room from a telephone booth at 200 With St. early Monday. She suffered a badly bruised head and neck and an eye swollen shut after hours of restraint. The suspect denied the accusations in a signed statement. He remained in Lubbock County jail in lieu of a $7500 bond set by Justice of the Peace George H W McCleskey.
