Eight Hurt In Checks Car Crash

Eight people were injured in four accidents around midnight Friday in Lubbock. The most serious victim, a teen, was in serious condition while others had noncritical injuries. The incidents included a compact car rollover at Foth Street and Avenue Four and a pedestrian hit case injuring eight year old Jose Alejandro with a possible internal injury. The injured names include Thelma Lawson Fred Wallace Volcansek Robert Glover Mike E B Finigan 17 Sheron Renfine Allin Deaton Jr. and others.

Auto thief ring busted in Oklahoma City linked case

FBI agents arrested Lubbock auto repairman Jessie Wolfe on receiving and concealing stolen cars from an Oklahoma City ring. Two Oklahoma men were indicted on Dyer Act charges, and Wolfe admitted buying six cars and four car bodies from Donald Horn. A second Lubbock man is held for investigation with no charges yet filed.
