Arson Suspected in Multiple Home Fires Claims 19 Lives

At least 19 people died in three major home fires Sunday with fifteen children among the dead. In Pontiac Michigan seven perished in a fire believed arson after a doorway was forced and gasoline poured inside. Police cite a two quart container recovered at the scene. Victims include Freddie Colsey and four children, with Linda Colsey surviving by jumping from a second floor window. In Alaska six children and three Brewer children died in a mobile home blaze. Authorities identify Patricia Galvan and her children among the dead. a Galvan relative saw the flames and attempted to help before the blaze.
