Veteran Educator Mrs Savage Dies in Lubbock
Mrs. Savage a longtime Lubbock educator and first principal of Roscoe Wilson Elementary died at her home on 31st Street from natural causes. Arrangements are with Resthaven-Singleton-Wilson Funeral Home. Her 24 1/2 year tenure ended May 1964 and her portrait hangs at the school. She earned 1964 Woman of the Year by Altrusa and held leadership in AAUW, PEO and other groups. Her 42 years in education touched thousands of area residents.
