In 95th District Court on Wednesday a 29 year old George Brandon Upchurch was found guilty of failure to stop and render aid in a hit run that killed 17 year old Johnny Ramos and injured 5 year old Joe Chavez on Clovis Road Sept 23. He faces two years for failure to stop and render aid and faces a murder with a motor vehicle charge with intoxication still pending. The court heard a statement from Upchurch claiming he hit something but did not know what it was and acknowledged drinking that day. The case was presented by Nist and Brister argued for mercy.
