United States seeks land landings for space craft at Ft Hood base
NASA researchers demonstrated a 400 pound land landing model using a batwing parachute called the parawing at Fort Hood Texas. The display showed the craft can glide and land within 50 yards of a target, with plans for larger 5000 and 15000 pound payloads and a 130 foot canopy for improved steerability.
