Lubbock Christian and Christ the King Plan Dual Graduations
Lubbock Christian High School and Christ the King High School schedule commencements today. Lubbock Christian plans a 2 p.m. sermon and 8 p.m. graduation for 24 seniors at the college auditorium with remarks by James Willett and Dr. William Banowsky. Christ the King will grant its first 22 diplomas with Holy Mass led by Rev. James.

Bid Opening Slated Monday for County Projects
Lubbock County commissioners convene at 10 a.m. Monday to open six sealed bid sets for oil and grease supply, a half ton pickup for Precinct 4, tractor with mower, sprinkler system for Shallowater Park, and painting and repairs at Slaton Park. Also on the agenda: tax equalization board oath, Ransom Canyon plat addition, and welfare department staffing and space.
